Hi guys, hope your all well, was wondering if I could get a bit of help, I went over to see ACAB today and tried turning her over, but as soon as I reconnected the battery the cabling to the alternator burnt out... turns out the f**king thing has internally shorted...

I've already got a replacement alternator on the way, but I'm not sure what guage the cabling was, can anyone gimme a heads up on what would be suitable to replace it with?

I only need the one cable so theres no real point in replacing much else... I just need to know how much current that cable has to handle and I'll replace it in no time smile

Battery to starter should be 4 gauge starter to alternator should be 8 gauge if you manage to fry the battery to starter lead i would make sure you connected the battery the right way around as that lead is normally good for around 200 amp

What im saying is the wiring goes from the alternator to the starter then to the battery. thats it. replace it instead of making a new one.
