Any ideas the name of the black sealant Vauxhall used for the mat black window surround on the rear?
Seems very similar to sikaflex but this stuff is 30 years old and still sticky and flexible.
Also can anyone recommend a decent metal to glass bond - you'll all know what that's needed for!!

I've had a quick look on eBay but nothing is jumping out at me, do you have a
link or a name of the hinge? Found a kit on German eBay but looks the same from memory - needling bonding on. |

That's sound that is, thanks for that. Those are the ones I saw earlier but wasn't sure.
Excuse me for being thick though don't don't they still need bonding on or are they a slight interference fit? |

mine at the moment are just held in by closing them up tighter but i am going to glue them at some point. i did use the rear view mirror stuff with the cloth bit in on one that held but the other 3 did not (oe hinges). so will probably use that on the 2 surfaces. _________________

Tried a few so called super glues unsuccessfully and ended up with Araldite. Worked and still secure 1 year on.
Can't remember the exact product but goes without saying you want transparent |
