Ideal = as original as possible - condition, rust is more of an issue than mechanicals. Perfect car is A518OFR but 99.9% sure the tin worm devoured it in 2000/01 |

Yes, I spotted this twice - possibly when you sold it and again when it was on sale via a dealer - look very good for the age but I just wasn't ready to get it! now I am there are none to be seen - there was a really nice EXP a month or so ago on eBay and if that had been a celebrity I would have driven the 250 miles to get it!
One will turn up no rush |

At nearly 40 years old I wouldn't bank on it!
I remember a farm contractor that came to stay at our farm when I was 10 had a brand new one.
It had an "auto reverse" cassette desk! _________________ "A fine example of how not to build a car..."

I bought mine in early 1986; it was just 18 months old 9k on the clock - I was actually wanting a mk2 1200, but my dad had seen the Celebrity in a high street showroom and said I should have a look - I didn't want the old model!!! But went and looked like a good son! It was mint! The first day I drove it to the end of our culdesac and couldn't find the reverse - ended up pushing it! Some very happy memories of that car - it became my ex-wife's first car later, and it was sold in 2002 140k but on a second engine. If I had been a farmer, it would have gone in the barn!
you need to stop commenting and finish that GTE!!! |
