That is a lovely example, have you got any more photos?

First upgrade should be brakes I think, ATE calipers and vented disks from the Mk2 Astra bolt straight on, you'll need bigger wheels to accommodate them though. Plus either modifying the dust shield or just ripping it off

Lot of things to be done so to have the 1.8 property installed !

Match the electrics from the 1.2 to the 1.8
injection Fuel tank
New fuel lines
New engine mounts and gear box
Big radiator you should relocate the lower radiator mounts if not a crossmember
Brakes Brakes Brakes
Front and rear antiroll bar
What about shocks ?
You need a new exhaust too
All above need money time and effort .

Changed my mind on the 1.8 as been offered a 2 litre GTE engine, with gearbox and loom...

I was thinking about getting those bilstein b45's from tweeks

First job is to get the old 1.2 out etc

Anyone got any bits ??

You mention a rear arb, is this suposed to came from the factory on all GTE´s, or you mean it as an upgrade?
I´m asking you this, because my GTE didn´t came with a rear arb, unless you mean that arb that comes inside the rear beam. but that even my 1.2´s and the 1.3´s have those. Razz

Upgrade the rear to discs if your doing the rest.
Its only a slight improvement on the road but worth it if you want to drive a bit more spiritedly.

Can't you use corsa shafts/hubs and make small block legs work without the need to change?

I think Jon knows the combination.
