first off the alloys in the pics are not included on the auction.

The Astra is classed as a 1200S 2dr Saloon,

I have owned this Mark 1 astra for over 3 years now, and is the most solid mk1 i have owned,

This has NO ENGINE OR GEARBOX, was once a 1200cc engine fitted with manual gearbox, the linkage and gear stick is still fitted to the car, as are the fuel lines, just slot an engine/box in and away you go.

Is covered by classic car insurance as is old enough, i was paying £102 a year, great!!!

The bodywork is very very solid, you will not find rust, i searched for 3 years to fine one this clean, the only section that needs work is the NSR 1.4 panel rear post has been poorly filled by previous owner, needs sorting properly. The OS door has been changed as it was bent in a failed break in, the new door is a very solid black door so doesnt match the blue paint. The wheels fitted are from the Astra F Mk3 Sport, they are the alloy looking steel wheels. The exhaust is good as well and was new when i bought the car.

Even though this looks like a hatch from the side it is actually classed as a saloon model, very rare (and to be honest one of the most pointless saloons ever built by any manufacture), obviously due to this very few were made and even fewer survive 2day, i think there is about 10 (if that) registered on the www.mk1oc.com (this is the mk1 astra owner club website). Again due to being one of the early base models it has the round headlamps instead of the square version. The sunroof is a genuine option extra version that tilts in place. White indicators have been added, as have 16v brake calipers.

I have so many spares/new parts that are being sold with the car, i dont want to sell anything but once she goes i will not be getting another, i have complete one offs inc fibreglass/carbon fibre bonnet, plus loads of new parts.

The Opel version was called the Opel Kadett D, if any continental buyers are interested (mainly you german D lovers) let me know before bidding, with the euro so poor our end you can be buying an absolete bargain.

I really dont know what else to write so any questions just ask, winning buyer will need to bring something to tow away properly with, really need room in towing car for the wide arches and light weight bonnet as well.

i currently have someone interested but im not putting all eggs in one basket as been let down many times before with cars, so available here as well.
