Run rough as in lumpy or sound rough as in tappety?

Proper GTE tank has a swirl pot built in , pick up pipe takes fuel from inside swirl pot, if it's not got one it will misfire like mad when cornering

My car has a non gte tank on and you can hear the fuel pump grumbleing for fuel when less than quarter of a tank, I suppose there is a chance you could have missed it when fitting the pickup.
