any ideas how I can rewire my lights so the dip beam stays on when full beam is on?

cant be too hard as they both come onto flash.

It is very simple if you use relays ! i recommend using relays on both low and high beam as the mk1 lacks of it !
You will get more light about 30% more with standard bulbs, whiter and if you make the cirtuit with thick wires and good connections + fuses , it will be much more safer than the standard wires...

cheers Dimpas

anyone with whizz wiring skills fancy drawing up a simple wiring diagram.

im thinking its 4 pin relays (2 or 4?) live off battery with larger cables.
larger earths at the lights. switch feeds from the stalk to relays. some fuses somewhere. want the dip beam to come on when spots are on.

anyone?

This is a quick guide.

Conductor Size Current Maximum power (Watts)

1.0 mm² 10 amps Up to 2400 Watts
1.25 mm² 13 amps Up to 3120 Watts
1.5 mm² 15 amps Up to 3600 Watts
2.5 mm² 20 amps Up to 4800 Watts
4.0 mm² 25 amps Up to 6000 Watts

Use either 1.5mm² or 2.5mm²
