Take the steering colum surround off via the screws underneath.
Couple of screws at the top of the clocks, to remove the surround. Tho the light switch will also hold it in.
Another screw in the middle at the top, lift the clocks out of the tabs at the bottom then fight with the speedo cable clip at the back to get it undone.
The clocks should just about squeeze behind the steering wheel.

I find it easier to get in to the speedo cable on a GTE as it at the left side of the instrument panel by removing radio / switch panel first and going in through there

Had the one out of my rally GTE recently to try and fix illumination and rev counter faults but no luck so now on the hunt for a replacement if anybody has a spare set of GTE clocks

If you undo the cable from the gearbox you can push it through to give easier access.

What's the rev counter fault? Reading high or just not working?

Not working and back lights also faulty, tried the set from my road car in it and all is well so clocks obviously knackered, I have looked for broken tracks etc but so far can`t see any, if I can`t source a replacement set I will look in to it further
