After selling my white GTE to Lee i cried and cried.
I kept an eye on the mk1 scene, then 1 day saw a nice red Turbo'd GTE on the bay, went down next day and agreed on BUy It Now £1900.
Result!! big grin I was happy again.
It had been sat under a cover for nearly 6 years and was surprisingly clean.
It then had an MOT which it needed very little, full service and new brakes.
Then went to the bodyshop for the winter for some 'freshening up', this included new wing, sill and arch.
I have since set about changing 1 or 2 things.
Spec currently:-

Engine
Calibra LET conversion done by Courtenay in 1996.
K&N Induction
Bailey header tank
Bailey Dump Valve
Chromed rocker and other bits and bobs, thanks to Tommy
Cool running thermostat
Full Jetex System.
Promotasport Turbo pipe and Boost pipes.
F20 5 Speed

Brakes
Front - Willwood 4 pot dynalites with vented disks
Rear - MK2 Rear beam and disks
Braided hoses

Suspension
P1 25mm lowered all round.

Wheels
Compomotive MO 16" White Alloys
Yokohoma Rubber

Outside
Arial removed and wing smoothed
Nova mirrors
Colour coded handles and roof trims
Tinted rear lights and clear front indicators
Opel grille and Circular VX badge
Meshed front air vents
White GTE wing decals
One off unique backwards rear VX badge big grin

Inside
MK2 Digi Dash Crying or Very sad
Mk2 16V steering wheel
Alloy pedal set and door pin set.
Courtenay boost gauge.
GTE mat set

Tunes
Kenwood single CD player
Kenwood Amp
JBL 6x9's
Acoustic Rear shelf

Security
Clifford oncept 50 alarm system
Some fancy door and boot locks (dont know what they are called Confused )

Still to do this year:-
Sound proofing to be removed and underside of bonnet to be painted in May, then bonnet lifters to be re-fitted
New wing bolts
A Tad more lowering at the rear.
Magnecor red leads
Red Samco coolant hosing
Powerflex polybushes
Custom made strut braces front and rear.
Ice upgrade?

Thats about it for this year, next year i may look to upgrade performance but at the moment i am more than happy with it.

A few pix i took today at Goodwood House.....

Small Update:-
Had underside of bonnet sprayed so all paint now done. I have fitted a bonnet stay (2 was too strong!), fitted new wing bolts. I relocated the alarm siren and refitted original toolkit. Also a polished dizzy added.
Car now has Regal Phase 1 chip and Mag KV85 leads and replaced rear springs with Spax.
New west coast customs boxed sub / amp 2 x 10", 800w.

Thats deffo it now, tbh i have had enough of spending, am not doing any more unless i have to.

Now my car so I thought I'd hijack Gonch's thread.

The engine is currently out and the inner wing and bulkhead need some work. These things rot from everywhere.

Further updates to follow but the bottom line is as follows

Seem welding and repaint engine bay
Hidden wiring loom
New fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator
custom built oil cooler, radiator and intercooler
flocked dash
New rims

Yes, mim raffino 17"s. Post a pic, I'd love to see them on the motor. What size tyres are you running? I was thinking 195/40/17 Did you need spacers or is the off set perfect for the mk1
