|
Im one of them lot from mk2cav.com and have a surplus 1.8e engine.
This engine is completely free of charge if.... any one cares to come and remove it all from my car.
Engine is in good condition and as they say "can be heard running". :Ha
The car is at Nottingham and will be going to the scrappy in the next couple of weeks.
There will be no ancilliaries included however as these are required.
If you fancy a challenge then drop me an email at mark@mk2cav.com or mark.smelt@orange.net
It is attached to an auto box but I would think this is of no use to you chaps. |

Hmm, think I could find a home for both the engine and the box, will require the ECU as I think it's necessary for the auto (you can probably say one way or another) |

To clear up any queries...
The engine is in a 1986 Vauxhall Cavalier Convertible. This is the same engine (18E) as an early spec Mk2 Cavalier SRi/CDi or Mk1 Astra GTE.
This auto gearbox is not an ecu controlled type, so there are no sports or snow modes. Just PRND21 etc
It is actually a GM Hydramatic three speed, it uses purely mechanical means for gear selection.
If anyone wants to trailer away the soon to be rolling stripped car then they might be able to use the power steering system too. I am told it will fit a Mk2 Astra maybe this would fit a Mk1 Astra??
Just found this on your forum about power steering http://www.mk1oc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26 |
