Been doing loads of work with my m8 on his Skyline R32. We have just dropped the rear subframe to fit the new alloy bushes & it got me thinking about fitting some to the Kadett.
I was wondering if anyone else has fitted solid alloy bushes instead of OEM or Polybushes? |

I dont really mind the harsh ride too much................
As for the wear & tear, there are loads of drift cars using them.
I aint drifting my car for obvious reasons, I was thinking about fitting them for track use.
I've been reading a couple of books on chassis development & they have the bushes mentioned in there quite a bit. |

I'm going to use a mix of poly and original so i don't damage the shell. |

Yes, but they're drift cars and aren't generally driven on roads. Solid bushes are the best thing if you absolutely need to maintain geometry at the expense of ride comfort but bear in mind you remove the rubber and the shock has to go somewhere, and that somewhere is straight into the shell.
As long as you're aware of this then I say go for it! _________________
