this is a picture from the guy who I bought it off, had been recently restored and was seemingly a show car, Mmmm
Decided to have a poke around the bulkhead not long after buying it
So it was out with the engine and a full strip down
I didn't realise how long it takes to upload pictures, im going for a coffee
My homemade spit, I started doing this on my driveway six years ago, it's a bit ambitious with the weather the way it is in Scotland and your neighbours asking questions.
This was one of the first repair panels I made and it was my first attempt, didn't use it in the end as I got the whole panel later.
This was it before, just love filler!
Driver side wing has had a few repairs using filler, angle iron, welds, seamsealer and underseal.
Old outrigger off only to discovere the replacement doesn't have this strengthening part in it

Ah one of those quick blow over of paint on the bits you can see restorations
Fair play for getting stuck in and bringing it back
Tho thinking about it, mine didn't have the strengthening bit inside when I removed the outrigger and I'm confident it was original, tho I took the other side off so maybe their different. _________________

Nelson without a doubt the worst part on mine, I didn't think it would take long to do it, until I started to strip it all down. Then it's trying to get all the panels and this was only some of them.

Damn, that was fast and perfect . I had to make almost the same repair in mine, but mine looks like was welded using bird poo. |

Nelson, the car is ready to paint, that repair was about 3 years ago, I kept meaning to start a resto thread.
Phil I didn't replace the chassis legs, only someone as mad as you would do that, have you finished yours? I will get to the chassis legs soon on the thread. |
