Went to Cambridge today as I was gonna be near there n the g/f wanted to xmas shopping somewhere. Seemed like a good idea... up until the junction of the A14 and the A10 when a complete moron in a Honda Prelude 'Type R' enters the picture. He gets past me after messing it up and proceeds to weave all over the road looking for overtake attempts further down the road, none of which are possible but it doesn't stop him looking. Course I laugh my ass off when he went straight on at a roundabout, decided too late he was going the wrong way and try to u turn at the junction. Course he sat there for a while.

Next, after negotiating round the badly signposted streets with traffic lights worse than london (5seconds of green I swear) we pull into the car park, usual story of press a button, get a ticket, barrier lifts and away you go. Course the muppet in the Skoda in front pulls up to the barrier and waits.... and waits... and waits. Course I persuade Sky to go and ask him if he took a ticket which she does. His answer is "Huuuh? Whaat?" before realising he's an idiot, gets out of his car, gets a ticket and can get the hell out of the way.

Now we get to the pedestrians/shoppers in Cambridge. What a bunch of clueless wonders. Not only can they not see that they are in the way of everyone else, they miss moving cars behind them when walking along the partly pedestrianised roads. But they cross when one direction of traffic has stopped... right into the path of moving traffic going the other way.

Course on top of this an amazing amount of them are downright moronically rude. If you've done shopping in London you'll know it gets crowded but you're aware of where people are in the shops etc. Not in Cambridge, blocking a wide aisle in order to look at the same bloody thing is common. So I just barge my way through to which they say "You could at least say excuse me" to which I say "You could at least have consideration for the rest of the world you moron".

To top it all, I found a magazine in one shop (major chain as well) called "Carbusters" which is extremely anti car. Got to the point where I wanted to get in a car, pollute the world as much as possible, break speed limits and run over anything that got in the way (only managed the first two).

I'd rather die before I go to Cambridge again
