Hi lads have been a hidden visitor to the site for a while now just looking at the cars and reading the treads . Finally decided to join after speaking with one of the moderators on ebay .Well i have a long love for Opels have a collection of Kadett s(Astra) and a manta and also a Ascona c (cavalier). But my first love was kadetts my first car was a 1983 1.3 Kadett SR in Yellow over black which i still have fully restored as you can see in the pictures .Then i picked up a 1983 red over black Kadett SR from a friend who passed away and his parents gave it to me i restored it but changed it to brown it originally came from Jersey Island in 1986 .Finally i restored a 1984 1.6 SR which i found in a local scrapyard but was on English plates but no book so transferred everything to a shell i had with a book .I could talk all night so no more talking here a few picture all comments welcome .

Thanks lads for the welcome , not all the SR ended up over here i have been lucky and kept an eye out for them but i know where there is a few more but not for sale . The blue one was information from a friend that was at the scrapyard looking for parts for another car and saw it in the corner in line for the crusher . A local had dropped it off 3 years previous said he couldnt get it to run , i picked it up for 600 euro took it home and within a hour had it running around the yard . Faulty carburettor only . Will post a few pictures of its restoration soon

mine went to Ireland as well, was a brown/bronze one, solid just needed tidying.
