am looking at this car right, the description is very vague, says its been in a barn for past two years, has a picture which is apparantly taken 2 years before it was put in the barn...so 4 years ago. it might have just failed on an mot, or it failed 2 years ago, from the wording i'm not sure.
have asked the guy about viewing it, and if it runs! twice now, couple days ago, and again today.

ah ha the gent rang me earlier!
reckons the only thing major wrong, is the crappy alarm thats fitted. its fooked, so the engine won't start.
reckoned jump leads on the starter motor or something, and it started fine.

no, you really want a conscast head trust me, u can say what u like but if money matters n you drive hard then you want a coscast head as well as many other things, but a v6 you dont need, heavy and pointless for horse power to wait gain. common sense mte! |

Also, an orig engine that came out the factory with cossie head had larger valves and forged pistons, so imo a must better engine to start with, although finding one nowadays would be hard work. Cossie heads still kick about tho... _________________ Nurburgring - Not for girls |

HMMMM
Went to see it today, was in a dirty DIRTY barn, and was parked in a well awkward place, couldn't get down underneath to check the head. The guy selling reckoned that only cossie heads came with a red cover? I dunno...he also said that the fan belt had snapped two years back, a bit got lodged in the...err, the round cam, jobbers. Slipped a tooth and bent one valve, was fixed, so guessing the gasket was done as well. Milage, 120 thou. The car itself will clean up nicely (with alot of elbow grease).
Am going back tomorrow so get the motor started and see what its like. The guy said to get it going, just need to 'prime' the starter motor? As the alarm is looped through the ignition to the starter motor... _________________
