Have recently got my Kadett D, tweeked on the dyno and it puts out:
108,5 BHP@6269rpm and 137,4Nm@4273rpm.

Quite pleased with that, not bad i think, for a 4 cylinder 1,3 that originally puts out 60 BHP big grin

Oh, is that not your car? It was the first one I found, sorry! The link to your car in your signature does not work for people who are not registered frown

Yup big grin I like the old-school tuning, also it is roadlegal here in Denmark, which isn't as easy as you would think. Fx. putting a redtop in a kadett will cost you around 1200£ in taxes, and to get it approved by the authorities is a royal pain up th a.. as they generally do not allow engines in the car that wasn't originally available. Until recently you could get around this by importing a car fx from germany, which is rebuild and all mods Tüv approved. But this has recently been changed, so that all import-cars have to meet the same requirements as if the car was modified in Denmark....hate the bloody government with their taxes Mad
Because of all the tax and vat on cars, a new Astra OPC (VXR) will cost you around 43000£ in Denmark. I'll guess its about half that in the UK??

Best thing though with my car is the insurance is the same as a standard 1,3N Very Happy

Talking about prices ........
The New ASTRA OPC ( VXR) in Greece costs 30000Euros New Standard equipment .
To change the engine in my Kadett D from a carb to a C16SE costs 2000Euros + some "oil" to the apropriate clerk at the Ministry of Transportation to make the car legal ........ eek eek eek
New cars are quite cheap BUT the service, tax, insurance cost is very heavy....
Dimitris Reporting from Athens.. Cool

No way Shocked we can just fit different engines however we like, as long as we pay some more to the insurance company and sometimes more tax (1300cc and below is cheaper here).

So I guess the UK's not too bad when it comes to modifying then. Of course finding an empty square inch of road to actually drive on once we've fitted our new engines is a pain in the ass, so I guess it's all swings and roundabouts when it comes down to it laughing
