FJ just quoted me £159 fully comp on my standard GTE with an agreed value and limited mileage on a classic policy.
I'm 26 and although I have full no claims, none of that is taken into account as it's already being used against my everyday car, which is insured elsewhere.
Not bad at all. Still probably going elsewhere though as my mate (an insurance broker) is likely to be able to beat that figure. _________________ Ben

FOOK is that a year i`ve had GTM 420Y for now and i`ve still done nowt to her
anyway on the bright side FOOTMAN JAMES has come up trumps again,my renewal came through last week and this years insurance premuim for her has only gone up 2 quid to £124.00 for the year what a fookin bargain for fully comprehensive on such a rare gte, same terms i.e gauranteed valuation, breakdown cover, etc, etc and that is declaring she is a grp N rally car aswell which i thought would drive the price up when i first insured her last year,i was happily wrong
so there you go folks not just cheap the first year to get your business but they stay cheap year after year,RESULT
i can`t recommend them enough
contact details in my top post from last year |

FOOTMAN JAMES have come up trumps once again
as you all know i`ve just bought a mk1 astra van,now today i needed to insure it and i assumed i would need to insure it with a commercial vehicle insurer as i have needed to do in the past.i.e car insurers in my experience normally don`t insure vans
so i phoned my current van insurer who quoted me £282.00 fully comp for it not the worst i`ve ever paid but i thought it was steep considering i have GTM insured for £124.00 fully comp with breakdown cover etc
so i thought fook it and i phoned footman james to see if they would cover the van,my initial reply was no as it was a van but then i explained that i had a mk1 astra gte insured with them and this van is derived from the mk1 astra model and would they consider it as in my eyes it is a classic and now very rare,so she spoke with a manager and result they have done it again
they have added the van to GTM`s policy and upped my mileage to 4500 miles to be used how i wish between the two, both are fully comp on a classic policy, both are gauranteed valuation and both have breakdown cover in the u.k and europe
and for how much, well this is the best bit,£15.00 from now until july until the policy runs out to add the van to GTM`s policy as this is already paid and then on the 1st of july when GTM runs out both insured for £265.00 all in which is £132.50 each as i`ve upped the mileage allowed in a year from 1500 to 4500.
to say i`m happy is an understatement,i`ve got both insured for less with a proper classic car insurer than my current insurers wanted for just the van, well happy
just thought i`d pass this on as there are one or two vans popping up on the club now |
